The official list below shows time slots reserved, not confirmed exams. Check with your instructor if the final exam for a course will be conducted during this time.


Before registering, make sure to read the Goethe exam guidelines and terms and conditions that appear on each exam page. Register for the appropriate level of exam.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam content. Registration

Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However it is important to note that the exam schedule could alter at any moment. If students are scheduled to take three tests on the same day, they should contact their instructor or department to arrange for a make-up test. It is possible to have three examinations on the same day. However, this could cause a lot of stress and affect the quality. The professor may not be able to offer an additional test to make up for the missed day.

Students should review the course material prior to taking the test and work on their German skills. The test is a paper-based test that tests the ability to speak, read and write in German. The examination results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who succeed in passing the test are awarded an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has reached the level of A1 in their language. This level is the initial stage of the six-level scale of competence that is set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students must bring a valid government issued ID to the test. Those without a valid photo ID will be disqualified.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to receive an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you will need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fees.

Practice assessments give you an overview of the style and wording, as well as the difficulty of questions on the test. They allow you to assess your level, discover gaps in your knowledge and increase your chances of passing the test.

It is important to note that the exam fee is not refundable. Exam results can only be sent via email and not by phone.
